Origins of Glass is a commission by one of the largest glass manufacturers in the US, Cardinal Glass. The art depicts the story of the three steps of how commercial glass is made for windows. The process begins by placing recycled crushed glass (cullet) and sand into high temperature glass furnaces. Once molten, the liquid glass is transported to huge tanks of water where it floats on the surface to cool and eventually be cut into rectangles of finished sheets of clear glass for use in window industries.
