The artworks I choose to acquire and value most highly appeal to my aesthetic sense and resonate with me on a personal level. They serve as lasting reminders of cherished past experiences. When I look at a meaningful piece of art, it becomes a touchstone for memories of significant events, often connected to special places I’ve visited on my travels.
For example, when I gaze at “Purple Mangrove,” I not only appreciate its harmonious composition but also find myself transported back to my exciting adventures along the mangrove coastline of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. It feels as though the artist has conspired to keep those wonderful moments in my life vividly alive in my memory.
