WATERSCAPE Series
Underwater Garden (SOLD)
50” x 28”
Fused glass, seashell, carved cedar, willow on painted wood
One of my favorite places to experience is a salt-water beach, in most recent years, the Gulf of Mexico. The colors and textures of this art reflect what I see when swimming and the contentment I feel when immersed, as well as the excitement I experience when the ocean and tide uncover a former mollusk’s home.
The warm neutral tones depicting sand and saltwater breezes in coastal biomes embrace a multitude of subtle colors. The wood is carved to mimic underwater fauna. This art takes the viewer beneath the surface where underwater gardens flourish and impress.
