spec·tra noun \spek·truh\
a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction according to wavelength.
The Spectra Series pays tribute to the unique ways in which bands of color and wavelengths of light appear and refract in nature. I am in awe of the infinite ways in which Nature presents us with colorful rainbows, mesmerizing sunsets, and sunlight dancing on water.
I’m always chasing sunlight. Whether it’s watching light ripple on the water while kayaking, hiking outdoors to view the setting sun, or finding a sunny corner of the house in which to curl up with a book, there is something magical and alluring about sunlight. These moments motivate my desire to capture their beauty.
